Take a look closely now
Or better yet, a silent bow
To Your own life
Carved out with the knife
Over a long period of time

The amount of sadness that road holds
Is only surpassed by the joy when arriving home
What’s so painfully obvious
Is that this thing I call home, is not set in stone

It’s ever moving, fluid, almost unattainable
You can stay there, be in it
But as soon as You feel comfortable
It shows You a new place so desirable
You have no choice but to follow the tracks
Set in stone

Whatever You do, wherever You go
Here it will be
Only right here, under Your skin
Let that sink in, be still
Until
It moves once again
