Sometimes
There are no words
Words just aren’t enough
No one to sing You praises
Only the sweetness of Your own tears
Separating You from total despair
And pure bliss
I cannot speak
I cannot feel
Only what seems like an insurmountable amount of pain
The access to it
I have yet not gained
Just numbness
Pure numbness
I feel frail
Only death can await
Something so great
What can one do?
With lives at stake
Looking out to the desert
Of pain
Insane
Reminding me my immortality
Humbling me to my very knees
Only from there I can see
Death is always simmering right underneath
