Although we sometimes bicker
We always seem to find that blood is thicker
I express my love to her
And look her in the eyes, the whole world
Stares back at me
I like that she waits for my arrival
It is nice to be received that way, instead of fighting for survival
I’m glad
For a moment in time, we find peace of mind
A quiet and lovely, somewhat kind
