I feel it coming, breathing down my neck
There’s fire in my belly, I can hear the thunder
Suddenly it’s quiet, too quiet
I’m washed over by a certain unease
I can feel it in my bones, it’s the unknown
Beckoning for me, wanting to reconcile with me
Holding me, gently wrapping her arms around me
I can feel a churning in my stomach
I want to fight it, let me be!
What else is there to see?
Can I finally be free, plant seeds deep
And feel?
First I must take a knee
Softly bow my head, breathe
I can feel the need
For My heart to be free
So I can lead, heal
And surrender to what’s real

With stillness,

Ian Altosaar
