A Narrow Road

What seems to be
The purpose of Your life
Is it depth that You seek
Or is it in essence shallow what peeks
Your interest

I’ve spent my entire life grabbing for the shallow
That road is very narrow
Just like a sparrow
The attention span won last until tomorrow

A life of meaning can sometimes be hard
It has been for me, so far
The most painful of it all
Is the thought of loneliness

After sitting with it
And giving Your nod to one of the greatest teachers of all
You will find Yourself, not needing
But desiring good company
