Within The Blackness

As the pain from my heart
Drips blood
To Yours and mine
Never knowing what life could be
Only to see
Disappointments

I see the angles
They are calling me
Writes of passages
Are taunting me
To put it mildly

Surrendering to pain
Is the easiest and hardest thing I’ve ever done
It keeps consuming me
With the darkness that lies
Within the blackness
I cannot see beyond

This is the truth
I have been a fool
With rotten peaches
And misty eyed teachers
Moved away
Somewhere down the beaches

Rolling on the floor
Laughing
Hideaway my disdain
By the way
I tried to say
Memories don’t fade
With minds strong as steel

Head my words
Sent from above
The golden bars
Made with scars
